22nd of OCTOMBER 2020 - ALTEN Romania, the local subsidiary of the French group ALTEN and one of the leading IT and engineering consultancy companies on the local market, reported a 5% growth in turnover in the first nine months of 2020, compared to the previous year’s similar period.

“This year, we have accelerated the implementation of many technology projects and have learned, together with our partners, to adapt to the new health context. We have all realized we needed much more flexibility than before, a clear vision and power of adaptation. We are very pleased to have managed to continue to develop and successfully finalize ongoing projects, even if 90% of our team has been working from home, from March onwards.”, Adrian Nicolae, ALTEN Romania Executive Director, noted.

In the first nine months of 2020, the company has continued to expand its business portfolio by adding 11 new customers. With the addition of these new partners, ALTEN Romania’s portfolio grows to a total of around 100 companies, active in some of the most important industries, such as: production, telecommunications, banking, automotive, insurance, pharma, retail and aeronautics.

“While we have noticed a somewhat more cautious approach from our clients, no existing projects have been stopped. In fact, in some cases, projects in implementation were actually accelerated by the larger openness to digitalization. The last few months show that we have passed the inflection point and that, as companies better adapt to new market conditions, the appetite for projects returns to growth, especially in the area of R&D, which prepares the business ground for the upcoming years”, Adrian Nicolae added.

Since the start of the pandemic, the most dynamic clients have been those in the software, Internet and telecom industries. ALTEN Romania reports a 4% increase of their investments in R&D activities.

ALTEN Romania's team of specialists are involved in software development, analysis and business projects, business intelligence, project management, technical support, automotive engineering and hardware design. The company’s IT&C division has consultants specializing in Java, .NET, PHP, C#, C++, Siebel, Cognos, MS BI and Oracle, BSCS, while the technical division has a team of consultants specializing in CATIA V5, NewPDM, SolidWorks, Matlab/ Simulink, HIL and Autosar.
